My Favourite Apps For Improving Productivity

If you’re anything like me, you’ve had a life long battle with procrastination. Luckily I’m going to share with you my 4 favourite apps that have helped me hugely improve my productivity and battle procrastination.

As a female entrepreneur, we have a LOT of roles to balance. We need all the help we can get in staying organised!

Luckily I’m going to share with you my 5 favourite apps that have helped me hugely improve my productivity and battle procrastination.

Evernote

If you don’t have Evernote…GET IT NOW.

You can download it here.

Evernote is basically my second brain. You can organise all your thoughts and ideas into notebooks and individual notes. Plus you can easily search for keywords.

Whenever I have an idea (which is about once every two minutes) – I write it down immediately into Evernote.

You can even make voice notes to listen back to.

Pocket

This is an amazing Google Chrome plugin that I just found this year.

I consume an enormous amount of online content, and sometimes I just don’t have the time right there and then to read an interesting article that I’ve come across. Pocket allows you to save an unlimited amount of articles that you can easily access at a later date.

What’s really cool is that Pocket makes suggestions for you too. This means you’ll never run out of ideas for content.

Self Control

This app basically got me through my PhD. You can download it here.

You enter all those websites that distract you from your work (Facebook, Twiter, Hotmail, Secret Escapes…oh…just me?) and it blocks them from your browser. This means every time you try to visit those sites…you can’t!

You set a timer to black list these sites, after which you’ll be able to access them again.

The best part about this app is that it’s unbreakable. Once you’ve set the timer, there’s literally no way you can access those websites until it runs out.

News Feed Eradicator

Another Google Chrome plugin I discovered relatively recently. It does what it says on the tin. It eradicates your whole news feed to avoid endless, mind-numbing news feed scrolling that is just going to waste your time! Give it a whirl!

Hope you love these time saving, procrastination-busting and productivity boosting apps!
